Welcome to Lakes Center for Youth & Families. We believe when youth have healthy relationships, meaningful involvement, and relevant learning experiences, they grow up able to care for themselves, care for others, and positively contribute to the world.

Programs at Lakes Center for Youth & Families integrate these three components: healthy relationships within families, with positive adult role models, and with peers. Meaningful involvement within their communities, providing compelling opportunities to learn about and engage in the world around them. Relevant learning experiences within their world, of their choosing, and free from judgment.

 Guiding Successful Futures

Programs & Services

Our programs cover three core needs for mental health or personal development, including preventive and re-development services across all areas of life.

Counseling: We seek to build and strengthen our community through our work with children, adults, and family systems. Life transitions, difficult circumstances, and mental health-related symptoms without support can feel overwhelming and isolating. Our counseling center uses evidence-based approaches and therapy to treat a variety of conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders.

Intervention: We offer classes, individual programs, and groups to encourage and help youth develop healthy, positive decision-making skills and interrupt a pattern or potential pattern of behavior, which has resulted in negative outcomes.

Enrichment: We provide afterschool and summer programming for children in grades 4-6 to learn positive decision-making skills and a summer safety camp for children.
