Youth First is back! We will be starting the program for the Rush City community on Monday, October 5 for students in 4th through 6th grade.

Youth First began in 1998 and has served hundreds of youth over the years in Chisago County. Lakes Center for Youth and Families started managing the program in 2018. Since then, Lakes Center has kept the focus of providing a safe and fun place for youth to be afterschool to connect with their peers and develop positive relationships with other adults. At Youth First, students will learn about empathy and decision making skills in fun, practical ways. With these skills, kids will also be learning how to focus their attention, how to listen carefully, emotional management, and more- all while keeping things calm and regulated.

Due to COVID-19, the program will be offered online on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Don’t worry about attending all- join when you can!
